Larry Grauerholz, the former editor of the AFEES newsletter, Communications, who served in that capacity from December 1994 to December 2012 , often would insert cartoons of his choosing in the issues. The following are some of the cartoons, selected by the webmaster for their connection to service in the armed forces, identified by the date of the newsletter issue and the name of the cartoonist (where known). Following the cartoons selected by Mr. Grauerholz are eight cartoons by the British cartoonist Heath Robinson. They appeared in Mr. Robinson’s book of cartoons, Second World War, pp. 148-155. They are reproduced here courtesy of Bodleian Library Publishing, Leanda Shrimpton, Picture Editor. Click on cartoons to enlarge them. At the bottom of this page are links to the cartoonists and their cartoons to the extent that they could be found on the Internet.
