Lawrence “Bud” W. Babcock
Lawrence “Bud” W. Babcock, 85, Kansas City, passed July 10th at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18th from 12:30-2pm, with services at 2pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City. Burial following service.
Mr. Babcock served in the 8th Air Force in WWII. He was a crew member on a B-24 Bomber and was decorated for his war time service. Lawrence retired after 60 years working for Evans Lime and Material Company in Kansas City.
Mr. Babcock is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Ruth Babcock, a brother Lionel, Sister Dorothy and daughter Carol Mitchell. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lucille of the home, sons Larry & wife, Nancy, children, Michael, David, Patty, Amanda, Jolene and Danny; Richard & wife Lisa, children Stephen, Derrick and Andrew; 16 great grand children, and 1 great great grand daughter, his brother Jim (Margie), Son In Law Tom Mitchell; children Todd (Toni) Mitchell and Jill (Tim) West; and many nieces and nephews.
