In 1997 Lt. Col. Clarke M. Brandt, USA Retired, and Dick Smith, one of the founders of AFEES and its president in 1996,  wrote Hide-And-Seek With the German Army, a meticulous account of the experiences of the crew of the B-17 Destiny’s Tot, which was shot down December 30, 1943.  Dick Smith was its pilot.  Hide-And-Seek was printed under the auspices of the Army Education Center, with the printing done by the Defense Printing Service in Denver, Colorado.  Our thanks to Rick Feingold, son of 2nd Lt. Louis Feingold, navigator of Destiny’s Tot, for making available to us a copy of Hide-And-Seek and the series of photos for reproduction on this website.
